Immigration
The United States has always been a country of immigrants.
What we are witnessing with the present administration is antithetical to the core American values we all grew up with regarding America being a melting pot of diverse cultures. Cory is completely opposed to the vilification of American Immigrants as scapegoats responsible for the economy’s bad shape when the true cause is the greed of billionaires and the warmongers cutting social benefits to pay for more and more foreign entanglements.
In Congress he will say NO to mass deportations, NO to internment camps, and NO to masked ICE agents breaking laws.
For the many undocumented immigrants and DREAMers already present within the fabric country, the majority of which, contrary to popular belief, pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits(most don’t even receive social security in age), we can either do the neighborly thing and bring them into the fold or leave them to languish outside the system.
Cory will welcome the neighbor by championing a Pathway to Citizenship for the undocumented and DREAMers while also fighting to make legal immigration more accessible.
Study after study such as the nonpartisan CBO has shown immigration is a net boost to the economy, so its not just the moral thing to do, it makes economic sense.
